about this course

from the code of practice to what you do on monday: identifying psychosocial hazards, consulting in ways people trust and building controls that change how work is designed.

who it's for

HR and WHS practitioners, people leaders and anyone who owns the psychosocial risk register and wants it to mean something.

what you'll learn

  • identify the psychosocial hazards that live in your own work design
  • run consultation that people trust enough to answer honestly
  • translate findings into work design controls, not just wellbeing programs
  • know what regulators expect to see and where organisations get caught out
  • keep the process proportionate to the size of your organisation

certificate & badge

finishing this course earns the arrley academy certificate: psychosocial hazards, from code to practice, with a shareable digital badge arriving alongside the first intakes.

arrley academy certificates are professional development credentials issued by arrley. they are not nationally recognised training and arrley is not a registered training organisation (rto).

common questions

what are psychosocial hazards?

aspects of work design and social context that can cause psychological harm: high job demands, low support, poor role clarity, bullying and harassment, isolated or remote work and exposure to traumatic events. most australian jurisdictions now name them explicitly in WHS regulation and codes of practice.

is managing psychosocial hazards a legal requirement in australia?

yes. under the model WHS regulations adopted in most jurisdictions, a pcbu must identify psychosocial hazards and eliminate or minimise the risks so far as is reasonably practicable. regulators have published codes of practice setting out what they expect that to look like.

who should do this course?

HR and WHS practitioners, people leaders and anyone who owns the psychosocial risk register. it's built for people who need to turn the code of practice into changes to how work is actually designed, not just another wellbeing program.

how is the course delivered?
